The Sacramento International Airport (which, as of this writing, flies to exactly ONE nation – the USA) is going to step up its own person war on terror. It is going to spend over $700,000 every year to keep bombs out of its shiny new parking structure. “Sure,” you say, “nobody wants bombs in a parking structure. How are they going to do it?”

They plan on looking through the windows of every car that enters the parking lot for “5 seconds or so.” Seven-hundred-thousand dollars to glance in your car window. I’m not making this up.

Are they going to look under the cars? No.

Are they going to look inside luggage in the cars? No.

What about in the trunks of cars? No way.

Maybe have a bomb-sniffing dog to help? Get serious.

Will vans and SUV's get extra attention? Not on your life.

The plan is to pull over and wait five seconds for some fucktard to give your car interior the once over. Maybe if you are wearing something low-cut, he'll keep you there for a little longer.

Seven-hundred-thousand dollars for this. Every year.

Will someone please explain to me how this is going to make us safer? Doncha think that some terrorist mastermind is going to see a way around this ingenious defense? I don’t want to give anyone ideas, but what if they put a bomb in a suitcase in the trunk of a car?!

Sweet Jesus! Somebody got paid big bucks to think this up! Who do I have to blow to get this job? I have an infected wart on the side of my ass that comes up with better ideas than this one. And it doesn’t charge me $700k to do so.
